TRUTOK
Following a diverse and
globalized career across three
different continents as a legal
activist, corporate executive,
and academic, she has
returned to her roots in art,
resulting in a unique synthesis
of traditional training with
awareness of contemporary
social issues and events.
Particularly, she sees her art
as an integral part of her
larger work on development
issues, and contemporary
socio-economics; and believes
that she can contribute to a
larger experience for the
audience, involving discussion,
and debate. She also enjoys
writing poetry, and it is not
unusual that a particular
painting and a poem often
complement each other,
sometimes even to the extent
of sharing the same title.
