The schools of neo-traditional Balinese painting include:
Ubud, Batuan (10 miles south of Ubud), Sanur, Young Artist
(started by Arie Smit) and the Keliki schools of painting. Bali
is one of the most beautiful places in the world and people
who travel there often buy art pieces to remember their
stay. Even though tourism is one of the biggest money
earners for the island (it belongs to Indonesia) and its
exposure to the West is decades old, you will not find too
many sophisticated websites and on line galleries showcasing
Balinese art.
Featured below are some well known Balinese artists.

Balinese art has many forms but a central theme seems to have Hindu-Javanese origins dating back to
the Majapahit Kingdom. Read more in the Wiki article at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Balinese_art.
